All of our range of wood burning stoves have a system that is called air wash that helps keep the glass from getting dirty, this will only work when you have good dry fuel and you allow the stove to heat up to full operating temperature .
If you find your wood burning stove glass has become dirty here is a quick and easy way to clean your glass.
What you will need: a damp cloth or newspaper and a dry cloth, newspaper or kitchen paper
1. Using your damp cloth or newpaper dip the cloth or newspaper in to the wood ash of the stove
2. Begin by rubbing the ash covered cloth or newspaper on to the glass ( in some places you may need to give a good firm rub)
3. When you have rubbed the glass all over rinse your cloth out or get a clean peice of damp newspaper and clean the glass off.
4. Using your dry cloth, newspaper or kitchen paper buff the glass and ensure that it is dry.
Your glass should be clean and ready to use again.
This Method is to be only used when burning wood exclusively as any other ash may have particles that may scratch your glass.
Note: If you find the above method does not work your can use a good stove glass cleaner which you can pick up in our showroom.
